And the crocheting began...

After asking my MIL several times to teach me to crochet (she didn't seem to be interested), I looked it up on youtube and the rest is history.  I am not a pro, but getting better with each project I tackle.  In the winter of 2008/2009 I started with scarves, moved onto an easy hat (designed by me of course), and then took on the task of a baby blanket...then life got busy and I didn't pick it up again for over a year.

Here is the second scarf.  I don't think I have a picture of the first one (which was exactly like this but rainbow colored).

My proudest accomplishment was this hat, because it was only the second thing I had attempted and I "designed" it myself!  I had enough yarn left to make a matching scarf.

The baby blanket was also "designed" by me but I didn't want to give it to just anyone, so I held onto it for two years until one of my best friends had a little girl...I knew she would appreciate the time and love I put into the blanket :) (that's my BIG baby boy, six weeks older than that tiny little girl)

A few hats, scarves, and a huge, unfinished blanket (which reminds me, I need to finish that!), and tons of yarn purchases later, I started to work a daytime job and the projects went onto the back burner :(
